|We headed to Portland last weekend to squeeze in one more visit with Jack and Joy before things get crazy. And they will get crazy, but more about that later.I felt that it was necessary to go to Voodoo Donuts before leaving the West Coast. Ad has been there before but it was my first time! Apparently you can get married there, but we just got donuts.
Here’s my delicious “dirt donut”
and Ad’s “chocolate coconut donut”
He was unimpressed, but managed to eat it anyway. In his defense, it was tiny and cake-like. Definitely not an ideal donut.
In an effort to work off some donut, we took a walk at Oaks Bottom Wildlife refuge the next day. It was hot, and I may have gone camera happy over the wildflowers. We spotted a few herons, but none close enough to get nice pictures of.
